Consignment Policy:
Closet Transfer specializes in consignment. People (also known as consignors) bring us treasures to sell on their behalf. We don't own the merchandise — we pay the consignors when their goods sell.
See below for our consignment policy:
- Consignments are taken by appointment ONLY.
- Only 10-15 seasonally appropriate (except vintage items) items per visit (items must be cleaned, pressed & on hangers, hangers can be provided).
- Consignors receive 40% of the purchase price of each sold item.
- Items are consigned for a maximum of 60 days.
- Consignors should select:
A: To have unsold items become the property of Closet Transfer & your check mailed, OR
B: To call and pick up your unsold items with your check.
- There is a $5.00 first time consignment fee collected at the time items are consigned.
- If you consign jewelry, please put pairs of earrings on a card to help keep as a set.
- Closet Transfer accepts men's, wonmen's, childrens, clothes, accessories, toys, houselhold item and collectables (see personnel for details).
- Please note: personnel must review garments in person — sorry, we cannot make judgments based on photos. If you can’t come to our store, you can ship items to us. Call us for more information.
- DOWNLOAD, PRINT and FILL out the form, then call your local store for an appointment.
